Creating Excel Bar Charts
WINKS can create bar charts for excel from Summarized data or from frequencies.
Example Excel Bar Chart from summarized data:Open BARCHART.SDA and select Graphs – Excel Bar Chart (from summarized data)
- Select Var1 as the Data field and Label as the Label field
- Click Ok to display Excel chart (requires that Excel be on your computer)
- Use Excel options to manipulate the chart.
Example Excel Stacked Bar Chart from summarized data
- Open BARCHART.SDA and select Graphs – Excel Stacked Bar Chart (from summarized data)
- Select Var1 and Var2 as the Data fields and Label as the Label field.
- Click Ok to display Excel chart (requires that Excel be on your computer)
- Use Excel options to manipulate the chart.

- Open EXAMPLE.SDA and select Graphs – Excel Bar Chart (from frequencies)
- Select SOCIO as the Data field.
- Click Ok to display Excel chart (requires that Excel be on your computer)
- Use Excel options to manipulate the chart.
