Courses on Statistical Data Analysis and QS-9000 Statistical Techniques are offered by TexaSoft:
QS-9000 Statistical Techniques
The U.S. automotive industry Quality System Requirements place a strong emphasis on the application of effective quantitative and statistical techniques for suppliers of manufactured parts - from the beginning of design/development, throughout prototype development, initial production, and on into full-rate production. The foundation for QS-9000 Statistical Techniques is based on concepts of Statistical Quality Control and quality improvement pioneered by folks like Walter Shewhart, W. Edwards Deming, and Joseph Juran. The requirements are an evolutionary extension of automotive industry quality requirements that deal with "product qualification" and "process control" and are similar to those contained in the FORD Q-101 and GM Targets for Excellence.
This course provides an overview of QS-9000 Statistical Techniques including: the Theory of Variation (Statistical Thinking), the Basic 7 Tools, the Normal Distribution and Tests for "normality," Shewhart Control Charts for Variables and Attributes, Analysis-of-Variance, Methods for detecting small shifts in a process mean (CUSUM, EWMA), Linear Regression, Measurement System Analysis (Gauge R&R), Preliminary and On-going Process Capability, as well as an introduction of Design of Experiments/Factorial Analysis, and more.
The QS-9000 Statistical Techniques course uses WINKS as well as other methods to provide a "hands-on" experience in learning and developing a statistical techniques strategy for your business based on the QS-9000 requirements.
We prefer to limit the QS-9000 Statistical Techniques course class size to about 20. The course is designed to run from 3 to 5 days.
Statistical Data Analysis Using WINKS
Statistical Data Analysis techniques are fundamental to many aspects of business and science. Although most graduates now have some statistical coursework, practical application of statistical techniques may be lacking. This course covers fundamental statistical data analysis techniques. It can be structured to your own requirements -- in scientific research, marketing, quality control, education, etc. using the features of the WINKS Statistical Data Analysis software program.
The course is limited to 20 per class, and can be structured to run from 1 to 3 days.
